WHY CHOOSE HAIR IS IMPORTANT TO ME AS A RECRUITER.

· Client Blogs

Since 2017 I've dedicated many hours to the Choose Hair campaign. Attracting the next generation of hairdressers. Educating parents, teachers and students on all the avenues a career in hairdressing can open. Lockdown has given me an opportunity to make a change and utilize our time to build solid foundations for a brighter future.

So, why as a recruiter have I taken on this mammoth task many have asked me. It's really very simple "It's the right thing to do". Like everything I do, once I'm 100% committed there is no turning back. Although I'm not directly working within a salon on a daily basis . My whole career and the careers of all of my clients candidates rely on apprentices entering in to our industry.

It's really very simple. Without the next generation of hairdressers our industry fails. There will be no pipeline of sale, education and marketing roles. Having just 7,000 students start apprenticeships last year, I feel is really worrying. This is not a moment to "blame" the manufacturers, the stylist or the schools. This is a time that we can all stand up and make a change no matter who you're affiliated with.

If your a manufacturer, distribuitor and would like to get involved please visit http://www.choosehair.co.uk or click here to email Emma Directly.
